Budapest
has many spas. The place was known for its hot mineral springs since
the Roman times. Spas were also favorites of the Turks who overtook
the country for 150 years in the middle ages.
This
one is the Gellért. My mom used to take me here as a kid. It
also has a rather upscale hotel.
Hungary
has many places called "cukrászda". It's a place
where you can sit down by small, usually round tables to enjoy your
espresso and pastry of your choice.
My
goose liver sandwich is on the left, and Napoleon on the right.
Aaaah
food... A hearty serving of stuffed paprika in tomato sauce and
potatoes on the left, and the beautiful view of pastries of the
right. Budapest has many pastry shops. Hungarians love their pastry.
I often dream of them.
